Planet Wise Solutions (formerly Water for Humans) is a Seattle-based nonprofit that works in close partnership with Indigenous communities in southern Mexico. Our mission is to co-create culturally grounded, sustainable technologies that promote health, environmental stewardship, and long-term community autonomy.
We don’t bring in one-size-fits-all solutions—we build alongside. From patent-pending high-efficiency cookstoves and rainwater harvesting systems to composting latrines, each innovation is developed in deep collaboration with the people who will use and maintain it. Every project reflects lived realities, cultural priorities, and a shared commitment to dignity and self-reliance.
Our focus on women’s leadership ensures the voices most impacted are centered from design through implementation. By investing in local knowledge, training community members, and designing for durability, we create scalable, lasting solutions that strengthen both individual lives and collective futures.
